Muhammad on faith

The best among you are those who are best to their wives.

O believing women! Let none of you despise giving to her neighbour even if it is only a roasted sheep’s trotter.

Treat the people with ease and don’t be hard on them; give them glad tidings and don’t fill them with aversion; and love each other, and don’t differ.

Faith … is the art of holding on to things your reason has once accepted in spite of your changing moods.

C. S. Lewis1898–1963Mere Christianity, Book III, Chapter 11 “Faith” (1952)

Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.

Martin Luther King Jr.1929–1968

Faith is to believe what you do not see; the reward of this faith is to see what you believe.
