Marianne Williamson on motivation and goals

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Our government should not be run like a business; it should be run like a family. A business might rightfully put its short-term profits first, but a functional family puts the well-being of its children first.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Do, or do not. There is no ‘try.’

Never give in—never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.
