Elbert Hubbard on genius

Don’t take life too seriously; you’ll never get out of it alive.

Every man is a damn fool for at least five minutes a day. Wisdom consists of not exceeding the limit.

He who does not understand your silence will probably not understand your words.

Not great understanding alone, not intelligence alone, nor both together, make genius. Love! Love! Love! that is the soul of genius.

Genius without education is like silver in the mine.

Genius is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration.
